The Jan III Sobieski Entrepreneurship Support Team

The main responsibilities of the Jan III Sobieski Entrepreneurship Support Team include:  developing detailed procedures of the programme re-granting, evaluating subprojects, entrusting the evaluation of proposals to the independent Grant Awarding Committee (GAC), ensuring efficient implementation of subprojects, accounting and monitoring of subprojects selected in the grant awarding procedure, disseminating information among the inhabitants and receiving feedback.

 

GRANT AWARDING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

 

The programme “A local brand as a guarantee of entrepreneurship development on the Knights’ Trail in Lublin Region” aims at providing financial support in the form of grants. The recipients of the grants might be: natural persons who want to start business activity, existing business entities, as well as NGOs from the territory of six partner communes on the Jan III Sobieski Trail.
• Natural persons interested in starting a business activity can apply for a grant in the amount of 70% of the project value - the minimum project value will amount to PLN 20 000 and the maximum is PLN 40 000.
• Existing business entities will be eligible for receiving a grant in the amount of 60% of the project value - the minimum amount of the grant is PLN 30 000 and the maximum is PLN 300 000.
• Non-governmental organizations will be eligible to apply for a grant in the amount of 90% of the project value - the minimum value of the project is PLN 20 000, whereas the maximum is PLN 50 000.
All grants will be awarded in the form of advance payment received after executing the sub-financing agreement. The beneficiaries will have to provide for only a part of resources needed (own contribution) - 30%, 40% and 10% of the project value respectively.
Grants will be awarded by an independent Grant Awarding Committee consisting of external experts.

Proposed types of activities that can be eligible for financing include, among others:
• Creating or adapting accommodation offer on the territory of the commune,
• Creating and adapting catering facilities and catering offer on the territory of the commune,
• Creating tourist service offer on the Jan III Sobieksi Trail (e.g. bike rentals, horseback riding, organizing trips in the subregion)
• Creating tourism-related service offer on the Jan III Sobieksi Trail (e.g. thematic villages, local museums)
• Creating service offer for tourist and cultural events on the Jan III Sobieksi Trail (e.g. historical re-enactments, exhibitions)
• Supporting  processing in the commune, among others,  processing and preserving meat, fruits and vegetables, dairy and flour products, as well as primary agricultural products; manufacturing glass, wood, straw, clay, stone,  as well as manufacturing games and toys.

All products and services must refer to the heritage of the Sobieskis family and/or take reference to the epoch of Jan III Sobieski’s life and reign.
